Humanity v/s AI: Avoidable or Inevitable?

How often do you find yourself rushing over to ChatGPT, expecting a solution to all your problems? Does your Google search history know you any lesser than your best friend? Isn’t it funny how artificial intelligence, that was initially discovered to ease the human race of it’s difficulties, has us wrapped around it’s intangible little finger.
Technology is indeed a very useful servant. However, if given a chance to be a master, it would qualify as nothing less than dangerous.
And no, this isn’t some cliché article stating the banes of technology, if that’s what you are thinking. But I’m definitely trying to portray what the near future might be, if we maximize our dependency on AI.
It goes without saying that technology has made life easier. Instead of communication through birds (which was just a medium to encourage animal slavery), faster and potable modes of communication have kept us connected to our loved ones.
Instead of going through a mountain of books for research, we have all the answers just one Google search away. Instead of using stones to solidify words, we have an entire desktop and a printer to hold our thoughts in place.
Moreover, the hassle of carrying money and wallets everywhere can also been taken care of, as long as we have UPI with us.
In this modern era of globalization, where the progress of technology is skyrocketing, making lives a little less difficult and relieving humanity of many other problems by coming up with solutions every day.

But yes, even poison tastes better with every try, doesn’t it?

The use of anything and everything has to have a prescribed limit, before overuse takes place, which leads to a person being locked in the never ending predicament of addiction.
Have you ever wondered what the third world war will be based on? Some might say border conflict, while the others might say blame the lack of resources. However, I would like to believe that the third world war will be fought between humans and artificial intelligence, as they will lock themselves in a battle for supremacy that will also have the tendency to wipe humanity off the face of this planet.

To conclude, I would like to repeat the words of a truly beautiful mind, Albert Einstien, that say, “I don’t know what the third world war would be fought with, but the fourth one would be fought with sticks and stones.”
