Is Black Adam really worth the hype?
Black Adam is a 2022 American superhero based on the DC character of the same name. Produced by New Line Cinema, DC Films, Seven Bucks Production, and Flynn Pictures and co. and distributed by Warner Bros Pictures. It is a spin-off of the movie Shazam!. It stars Dwayne Johnson as Teth Adam/ Black Adam, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centino, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan appear in supporting roles.
Black Adam is an ancient superhuman who is released from his magic imprisonment by a group of archeologists to free the nation of Kahndaq from the crime syndicate Intergang, whose local leader plans to obtain an ancient relic called the Crown of Sabbac to take control of the nation. And the story follows how black Adam with the support of justice society reclaims the crown of sabbac destroying it in process and finally freeing the city from the oppression of intergang.
Well, the story in all of its glory and stellar star cast is still not able to live up to hype. Considering the previous movies of dwayne johnson which provided both action, stellar casts and comic relief this movie is a disappointment on that front. The story becomes predictable after a point as you can guess what is going to happen next which fails the purpose of a sci- fi movie of DC which is to keep everyone guessing.
In all the movie fails to live up to the expectations of people and is a disappointment for all the DC fans who were expecting much more from DC.
