Manali Trance

BY: MINNAKSHI BALAJI
Manali is unlike any other hill station in terms of its beauty, climate, and culture. I have visited numerous different hill towns in India with my family, but in March 2023, I went to Manali for the first time.

Manali, I thought, is the best. Manali is the Switzerland of India, as people used to say before my arrival, and I have discovered that this is really true. The nicest recollections I have so far from my time in a hill station include the weather, the snowfall, the locals, the ride, and the family.

Everybody's life includes a lot of special occasions. But a select few of them leave an everlasting impression on our minds. I had a lovely vacation in Manali, and it was one of my most memorable experiences. Thank God, there are so many stunning locations to visit that we may forget about all of our worries and problems. I had the chance to visit one of these areas of exceptional natural beauty, where the tranquilly and untainted pastoral charm had not been impacted by contemporary industrial competitiveness.

The trip to Manali was the most enjoyable part. Early the next morning, we departed. When our car climbed the Himalayan serpentine roads, the season's heat started to diminish. The trip from Sundar Nagar to Manali was quite beautiful to look at. Breath-taking sights of unparalleled sylvan beauty eased not only the eyes but also the restless soul on either side of the serpentine road. The captivating sights one receives as a present for visiting this paradise include deep hollows with pure lush slopes, picturesque, pastoral human communities, and vistas of the distant white sheep grazing on the mountain slopes beneath the canopy of azure sky. The trip's end was something I dreaded. The mountains grew bigger and taller as we drew closer to Manali. Manali and its surroundings were exceptional in terms of their serenity, tranquilly, and beauty.

My father had purposefully reserved a hotel near the Beas River, where there was a lot of greenery. The white mountains in the distance that were covered in snow from the hotel window gave the impression that we were somewhere else. For dinner that evening, we walked to the market. I witnessed the night sky's beauty for the first time in my life. Because of this, the glory of the sky is hidden from human sight in cities due to pollution. Our little time in Manali completely renewed us. The trek itself was significantly more lovely than the Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley, or Hadimba Temple. The pleasant recollections of this journey will remain in my heart forever.
