Social Media and us?!

Social Media and us?!
Scrolling through much!?Credits: Aakriti Ghai

On some days does not scrolling through our social media accounts, makes us wish for edited images into our own reality. That for sure includes that hope of a perfect body, off that perfect look and a perfect closet. Our body image is not defined by few heavily edited pictures we see on Instagram, twitter Pinterest, etc. This idea of slim and acceptable or having a perfect toned body is an old need.

With rise of ‘that girl’ and ‘lucky girl’ challenge, it made this idea of living an unreal perfect life a bit more viral. It surely being a healthy lifestyle, also made sticking to it or forcing to stick with that routine a bit toxic than it being beneficial. It is rightly said, anything done in an over-exceeding manner is not healthy, this seems to rightly imply to our content consumption as well. With this journey with oneself, and to attain that perfect lifestyle, most of us have gone through hundreds of videos, reels and snippets. But we all know that not everyone is the same and not everyone has to live the way others are living. Creating your own lifestyle or a routine which suits one’s day to day life is the way to be. Just because someone is going out every day, or is showing off that larger than life moments does not mean everything is the way we assume them to be like. Even those who we see on the screen are real life people; who are questioning and trying to figure out things as we are.

So, know you are great right just the way you are. Just step towards healthy lifestyle and less towrads making our lives as we see in those rectangles.
