The Streets of Connaught Place
By Diksha Arora
It was 8 in the morning, in the empty streets ofconnaught place . I had gone for a walk there with my brother. We were walking, in the middle of cold breeze and fog i could see a few stray dogs there.
Sleeping so peacefully, The huge parliament houses and the white buildings of CP made them even more prettier in the morning, as the crowd wasn’t there, i could appreciate and look at them more carefully.
As i walker further i saw the tall flag of our country, standing so high and proud, hit with the strong wind, standing strong and firm. Behind the flag was the sun, peeping through the corner. The sun added even more beauty to the flag. In between all of that i passed a church as well. I’m not a christian but i felt a sense of peace and different vibe there.
My short trip there was amazing, i have been to CP so many times now but it was the most beautiful today, i wish i could see this side of it more often, the peace and grace it brought unknowingly portrays the real essence ofDelhi for me.
