Manufacturing Process Labs : Hands-on experience for students
The Mechanical Workshop caters to B.Tech (Mechanical) 2nd semester, 4th semester and 5th semester students . It houses conventional manufacturing tools & equipment, as well as machines like wooden patterns for foundry shop, tools and vices for fitting shop, gear driven and belt driven lathe machines, column and knee type milling machine with plain dividing head, radial drilling machine, surface grinding machine, shaper machine, arc welding, gas welding, TIG welding and spot welding equipment.
The modern manufacturing machines line CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) comprises of CNC turning and milling centers. B.Tech (Mechanical) students are required to make small prototypes on these machines as well as conventional machines to gain in-depth knowledge of different manufacturing processes.
