By Radhika Gupta
Bennett University ’s official literary and debating society Cerebrum, organized an MUN orientation on 31st January 2024 for students aspiring to be global ambassadors and future leaders.
“At Bennett we have a lot of enthusiastic first year students curious about theMUN culture here and additionally those who have heard about MUNs from their friends but are unaware about its true meaning, so we organized this orientation for them. We explained the rules and procedures for how the MUN committees are run, difference between UN and Indian committees and the type of deliberations and discussions that are held there to those present" said Pranavi Ambati, the secretary of Cerebrum. “This orientation will also help the students participate well when we host an MUN here at Bennett sometime in April this year” added Pranavi. About a hundred students were present at the event and interacted with the Cerebrum members by answering questions and asking queries about MUN’s that were held previously in the campus.

These are conferences held not just in Indian institutions but all across the globe as these help hundreds of thousands of students think like a leader, understand international relations and boost their confidence through public speaking. The MUN orientation held at Bennett will mark the beginning of a new journey in diplomacy for many of its students.
