BU's Vidit Baya wins 'all-India Best Student Award'

A six-day journey of learning, fierce competition and debate- that's ‘Muqabla’- the inter-college All-India Best Delegate Championship, organized by Dhruva College of Management, Hyderabad. Vidit Baya, a first year BAJMC student of Bennett University won top honours at this competition.
To win the coveted award the candidate had to clear three rounds of intense competition: an online quiz on general awareness, a one-minute speech and the final interview round. The whole competition consisted of a variety of events- quizzing, debating, speech competition, dance, etc. But the real big event was the All India Best Undergraduate Student Award. Vidit won this easily.
On his reaction to winning the coveted All India Best Undergraduate Student Award, Vidit said, “I was flabbergasted when the results were announced and on top of the world. During the rounds of the event, I used to feel happy about how I was performing albeit very nervous. I wasn't expecting the award, but I am very glad about the fact that I was presented with the honour of the All India Best Undergraduate Student award. I am thankful to all the professors for all their support and continuous help throughout the course of the semester.’
For his efforts Vidit was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000, a trophy, a 100% tuition fee waiver at their college for a PGDM programme and an e-certificate.
Recalling the intense competition in every round, Baya confessed, he felt nervous and overwhelmed seeing such a talented pool of students from all corners of the country competing against each other. He was provided with the experience and the exposure to ideas from a different school of thoughts. It was a fun-filled learning experience and the friends that he made in the competition is one thing that he would cherish throughout his life.
