Anand Nadar is the new chess champion of Bennett

The chess tournament , “King 64” finally was won by Anand Nadar, the person handling the black pawns.

The game started in an exciting manner, with Vibhav, the player with the white pieces implementing a queens’ opener and Anand, with the black pieces playing PD6 (a move where one would bring the bishop pawn in their sixth move) , a gentle reminder of the classic Kasparov game.

This was further followed by exchanges of other pawns of the games including the queens however the person handling the black pawns blundered during castling (a move in the game wherein a players’ king and either of the other players’ original rooks. It is the sole move in chess in which a player moves two pieces in the same move and it is the only move aside from the knight’s move where a piece can be asked to “Jump” over another).

However this move left everyone with doubt regarding whether this was a blunder in reality or a sacrifice for the long run was a question to everyone including the person who was handling the white pawns.

This further was followed by the person who was handling the white pawns activating his dark squared bishop and both the knights and after a series of moves, the person handling the black pawns placed the king in box labelled C7.

The unorthodox moves of the person handling the black created confusion for the person handling white pawns and the audience and no one could actually decipher if he is the real genius with his new type of openings.

The match was indeed a tough one which did keep everyone on their toes in the audience.
