Bennett-1 played a thrilling kabaddi match against Gautam Buddha University (GBU), Greater Noida, at the annual sports fest 'SportIkon' organized by Bennett University. This action-packed match saw Bennett-1 securing an emphatic victory over their rivals, with the final score reading as 46-26.

Bennett's Hari stepped up for the team and gathered maximum points with his deft raids. Sheikh Subani also earned the team vital points with his all-around defence and offence skills.

GBU’s Prashant Badhana and Satyam also put up a fight through their tackles but it wasn’t enough. Satyam said, “We had a great start to the match but we couldn’t keep the momentum going. I believe that we scored bonus points that were not awarded to us, which is a bitter pill to swallow.”

The match kept the audience at the edge of their seats as Bennett-1's raiders sliced through GBU's defences. Even the players felt the heat of the match as words were exchanged between the teams. Things got especially heated between Bennett's Sheikh Subani and GBU's Prashant Badhana. “It was a very heated match. They gave us a good fight. The GBU defenders were taunting me but I do my talking on the mat and that's what I did," said Sheikh Subani, Bennett-1 (player).

There was no lack of support for the players, as the boisterous crowd that had turned in to see the players willed them on. Initially, Bennett's team lost points in quick succession, but players found their grooves quickly and made it look easy.
