BU felicitates its BML Munjal Hero Challenge champions

The Sports department of Bennett University felicitated the winners of BML Munjal Hero Challenge, 2018 on Tuesday along with a special ceremony to appreciate the work of the students of the sport committee, 2017-2018.

Amongst those who attended the function were Milind Padalkar, Dean of Students Affairs, Harish Srivastava, Admin head, Ganesh Khattri, Security Head, Suneet Tuli, Dean of School of Engineering and Pratima Singh and Vineet Nehra, Sports officers.
Nandana Varshney, Vice sports secretary, started the ceremony with a small introduction to all the guests present. She also talked about the various prizes and positions bagged by the teams.

Nandana then called upon, Suneet Tuli who talked about the growth of the sports facilities at Bennett University. Tuli told the students about how Bennett University started off with two under-constructed fields in its first year of establishment to a well-built sports complex in its third year.

Tuli has been the motivator of the sports department of the University since the beginning. He also shared the struggles which the department went through to come to its current development and discussed the future plans the department has in mind.

The department also thanked the admin and the security sections of the University for supporting and motivating talents. Students are the face of the University and expressing their talents helps in the overall growth of it.

It was finally time for the ceremony to begin. Ronak, member of the Internal affairs team, started the felicitation with the Chess team who bagged their first gold in an inter college tournament. The team comprised of four members, Vaibhav Sharma, Uday Krishna, Sankalp Banodia and Nishant Gupta.

The Pool team of Bennett University, including Prateek Rai, Rahul Pundir, Shaurya Solanki and Saksham, won their second successive Gold prize and walked home with their heads held super high.

The football team, although won bronze, were motivated and proud of their progress. Arsh Katiyal, captain of the team, said, “We started off by losing from Shiv Nadar University’s team B and now we are standing here today with a bronze in our hand. This is a positive sign of progress and there lies a long journey ahead of us. With guidance from Pratima Ma’am and seeing the enthusiasm of Ganesh Sir we are constantly working for a brighter future.”

The department also felicitated the various sports committee members who have worked for the development of the sports section at Bennett University with certificates and letters of appreciation.



As Milind Padalkar, Dean of Students Welfare, said, “It is never about winning or losing. The whole activity of taking part and gaining experience matters the most,”
