Bennettians ready for battle
Pulse, the event organising club of Bennett university, organised a gaming tournament, on Tuesday September 4 for gaming freaks on campus.

This was a fund-raising event organised by the club for its future activities. It was the fifth time the club has put together a gaming event. This time the game was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The tournament kicked off quite well with around 50 students participating. These participants were then divided into 10 teams, consisting of 5 players each. At a time, two teams went against each other and appeared for best of three knockout rounds. Students from different courses took part in the tournament. It also helped freshers to blend in the principles of team work and build a better connection among themselves.

Close to 200 students were present to cheer for their favourite teams. School of Management student Japna Batra said, “All the players were very enthusiastic and played well, though the team I supported couldn’t make it to the finals but I really liked the team spirit portrayed by everyone. I’m eager to watch such amazing events in future.”

Joint club secretary, student of School of Media and Liberal Arts, Aditi Tyagi, said, “This gaming event is our way to establish the fact that gaming is an essential part of Pulse and will be holding more events like this in the near future.”

After constant battles, the results boiled down to 5 finalists. These teams will further compete against each other on Thursday, 6th September to emerge as the ultimate winner.
