Bennett’s ‘Red Hot Freshers’
The Blue Moon Take 3, Bennett University ’s grand event to welcome its freshers, started with the ‘Red Hot Fresher Award ’ on 31 August 2018. The winners of the exciting competition were: Anushka Verma, a student of BBA-LLB and Shubh Shukla, a student of B.Tech.
The event started around 4.30 pm with fun games organised by theVirgin Atlantic team. Mehek Sood, Senior Marketing Executive of Virgin Atlantic, said, “We had several games and two contests for the students. There is a lot of enthusiasm among students.”
The freshers had a chance of winning the ‘Red Hot Fresher Award’ if they wore a red outfit on the freshers’ day. Almost all freshers were seen wearing something red be it a red dress, red shoes, red shirt or a red nail polish.
Anushka Verma, one of the winners, said, “I wore a red dress on the freshers’ night and the next day I came to know that I have been selected as the ‘Red Hot Fresher’ it was like a dream come true. It was really a good experience.”
The other contest involved freshers clicking a picture with the selfie stand and posting it on their social media handle while tagging Virgin Atlantic. Many won goodies for their efforts.
The spin-the-wheel game was hugely popular. It was a luck day for Snigdha Sharma and Aviskha Sharma of B.Tech Avishka Sharma, who won a gift said, “This is the first gift that I won in college. I am very excited and look forward to more wins.”
Another popular game was the treasure hunt. In this game the participant had to find the right key of the treasure box. Everyone was cheering for the person who was testing their luck. Snigdha Sharma, a B. Tech student, emerged as a winner once again. She said, “I feel today is my lucky day. And I am very excited for the fresher’s night.”
Sai Reddy, a B. Tech student said, “I tried but could not open the box. Nonetheless I enjoyed.” Amit Patel a B. Tech student said, “Finally after so many chances I could open the treasure box. I am very happy.” Sonali Datt, an MBA student said, “There is so much excitement among all. Everyone wanted to win the gifts.” Ganesh R, a B.Tech student, said, “I would love to have more events like these in the university.”
