Bennett University's much awaited freshers' night, Bluemoon 6.0, took place on 12th March. It was one of the biggest events that was organised in the campus since the university reopened its door to the students in February.
BAJMC’s Ashwin Soin and BBA’s Kanwaljeet Singh were crowned as the Ms. and Mr. Freshers 2022, respectively, by LIVA Miss Diva 2021 Finalist, Siddhi Gupta.

Dressed in her traditional outfit, Ashwin was partnered with the Punjabi munda, Kanwaljeet wherein they performed bhangra keeping their cultural sanctity in the forefront.
Approximately 60 first-year students found themselves in the run for the titles, but only Ashwin and Kanwaljeet managed to make their way to the top at the ‘Premiere Night’.

Although it was a close call amongst the top six contenders, what stood out was the confidence and the strong personalities of the Freshers.
“The best part was when everyone was performing in their formal outfits, we performed in our traditional attires and what stunned everyone was our answers in Hindi language in the final Q&A round,” Kanwaljeet said.
Proud Moment for the Winners
While it was a proud moment for the freshers to have begun their journey in Bennett with such pomp and glory, Kanwaljeet found himself to be awestruck and got goosebumps as LIVA Miss Diva 2021, Siddhi Gupta announced Kanwaljeet and Ashwin as the winners and crowned them with the title of Mr. and Miss Fresher 2022.
“I was able to overcome all this because of my seniors, who helped me walk and speak confidently, and then my partner Kanwaljeet Singh, who supported me throughout,” said Miss Fresher 2022, Ashwin.
After bagging the title for Miss Fresher 2022, Ashwin’s advice to every female out there is to step out of their comfort zones and make their own identity, rather than following the trends.
Entertainment Extravaganza
Bluemoon 6.0 was hosted by RJ Navneet from Radio Mirchi, an alumnus of Bennett University. The senior students put up a major show for the freshers with dances, songs and a variety of other programmes. The Vice Chancellor Prabhu Aggarwal inaugurated the night, which ended with RJ Sartek setting the floor on fire with his dance mixes.
At the end of the day, the event was a big hit amongst the enthusiastic freshers as they begin their journey in Bennett University.
