Bluemoon shines with diverse club performances

Bennett University's campus came alive tonight with vibrant colors, pulsating rhythms, and an electrifying atmosphere as the eagerly awaited annual cultural extravaganza, Bluemoon 8.0 unfolded. This renowned event, a highlight on the university's calendar, showcased a mix of talents and creativity through captivating cultural performances. With each passing year, Bluemoon continues to raise the bar, uniting students, clubs, and enthusiasts in a celebration of dance, music, and various performing arts like never before.

The heart of the event showed in its diverse and dynamic club performances, and this year, Rivaaz (Indian dance), Advaita (Music), Verve (Western dance), and Panache (Fashion) truly stole the spotlight.

Rivaaz enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing choreography, effortlessly dancing on various tunes of retro Hindi songs and Punjabi beats. “We’re so proud of the team who prepared such an amazing dance in such a short notice, I couldn’t have asked for a better opening event,” the Secretary of Rivaaz, 2nd year BAJMC student, Simarpreet Kaur said.

Verve followed Rivaaz up by captivating the crowd with their enchanting dance moves, effortlessly grooving to a mix of Retro Western tunes and contemporary moves. ”We try and give it our all out there whenever there’s a performance, tonight was no difference, I hope we didn’t disappoint," the Secretary of Verve, 2nd year B.Techstudent, Sarthak Anand said.

Panache wowed the crowd with their stunning runway showcase, strutting in the latest styles while mxing it up with some thematic retro fits. To top it off, they added an unexpected twist, concluding with a surprise dance performance to the song “Disco Dancer” that left the audience in awe. ”panache has always been about fashion but this idea of adding a dance felt very appropriate and the whole club is satisfied with the performance," the Joint Secretary of Panache, 2nd year BAJMC student, Shreya Talwar said.

Advaita delighted the audience with their captivating performance by rendering retro Bollywood songs that transported listeners to a bygone era. ”We couldn’t be happier by our performance and the crowd’s response after all the hard work we put in for this performance," the Secretary of Advaita, 3rd year B.Tech student, Abhinendra Singh said.

To finish the night from the clubs’ side, Advaita had another performance called ‘Cypher’ which featured two of their members Aman Yadav and Adhyay Bansal who rapped a remix of the song ‘Khatta Flow’ by Seedhe Maut and KR$NA.

Vikram Singh, Music Society Secretary, summed it up: “A great end to the year—a final goodbye, but a celebration of what we’ve built together.” The event was a farewell tapestry of collaboration, from quiet honours to explosive energy.
