BU students flaunt strength at College Frenzy auditions
On the pleasant evening of October 16, when Bennett University campus was abuzz with activities, Maruti Suzuki Devil’s Circuit hosted the auditions for the third season of College Frenzy, the hunt for the fittest college team in India. The event is a sports entertainment show that helps sportspersons showcase their strength, stamina and agility.

The show promises winners cash prize of Rs. 10 Lakh and a new Maruti Suzuki Swift for the fastest finisher of the College Frenzy competition. From each college, a team of three students are being selected to represent their University, who would compete to get the title of the fittest team of India. The dates of the finals will be disclosed after the completion of the auditions across India.

The auditions saw close to 50 gym enthusiasts who registered for the auditions and performed exceptionally.The participants had to perform maximum sets of six pull ups, four grip changes and eight push ups in under two minutes to qualify to be a part of the team of three who would represent the University.

“It is wonderful to see our boys and girls come out in such great numbers to be part of the event and also cheer for their fellow mates. It’s a great opportunity for our students to prove their strength and celebrate their fitness,” said Senior Sports Officer Pratima Singh. It feels good to know that sports and physical activities is an integral part of the student lives she added.

Proving their muscle power, Tanmay Sharma, third year student of Times School of Media, Piyush Yadav, second year student of School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Anirudh Sharma, second year School of Management student, formed the team who would be representing Bennett University in the final round of College Frenzy.

Piyush and Tanmay hold a record of five sets which no one has achieved in other Universities of Delhi NCR and Anirudh completed four sets in two minutes. They manifested that strength in the muscles rather than just muscles is key for every fitness fanatic.
The event saw participation not only from the students but also from the University security guards and staff. Satya Prakash, a guard at the Bennett University showcased his toughness by completing 2 sets of the exercises.

Pankaj Jhavar, student head of Fitness said, “These opportunities help us show our true potential and strive to be fitter and better since our fight is always with ourselves before anyone else.”
