After graduating from the Times School of Media many students managed to successfully transition into the corporate world and make a name for themselves in their respective industries. In order to facilitate conversations between these alumni and the current batch of students a three-day conference called ‘Future Forward’ was organized by the placement board of the media school.

Various notable alumni were invited to be a part of the conference and share industry insights with their juniors at Bennett University. Amongst them was Jivraj Kohli a global marketing professional currently employed as the key manager at Zomato. He has also worked with brands like Google, Neutrogena, Special Olympics, Activision Blizzard among others.

Talking about his experiences joining the video gaming company Activision Blizzard he said-“When I first joined the company, the Call of Duty Mobile Championship was going on and a lot of hate speech was being used in live streaming. Therefore, I was asked to make content around popular memes and jokes. This really helped the Activision’s brand building a lot as the hate comments stopped and turned into humorous discussions.”

Jivraj ensured that the session was interactive by ensuring that his juniors participated in group discussions, fun games, quizzes and rapid-fire rounds. He even awarded the winners with the book ‘CULTure at Zomato’ written by the company’s CEO Deepinder Goel.

“As a gaming enthusiast myself I really enjoyed the gaming analysis and discussions on the Call of Duty game done by Mr.Kohli. I learnt how so much efforts and backhand operations are a huge part of the gaming industry” said Navsheen Kaur a first year journalism student at Bennett University.

The Placement Board team helmed by Professor Shruti Jain of the Times School of Media, Bennett University ensured the smooth running of the entire alumni-student conference organized on 17th, 18th and 19th April 2024.
