Defining freedom through music
Students participating in patriotic song competition, 'Awaaz-e-Hind' as part of BU's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign

Advaita, the music club of the University organised a patriotic singing competition “Awaaz-e-hind” with “My Freedom, My Way” as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

Performers were asked to define what freedom means to them through a song. The winner Akshita Trivedi, (BAJMC 3rd Year) expressed her meaning of freedom through the song “Maa Tu” and Praful Tripathi (BAJMC 2nd year), who was the runner up, sang “Teri mitti me mil jawa.”

Manya Sharma and Tanmay Verma were the hosts for the evening. Event organiser Jayati Jha, said “I feel so proud that we were able to host such a great event, we have the most deserving winners.”

Participant Ishani Ghosh said, “I wanted to participate because it is a day to dedicate to our freedom”.

A trio of BTech students with two singers and one guitarist got huge round of applause for their performance.

Volunteers decorated the venue with tri-coloured balloons to create a colourful ambience.
