In a burst of excitement and enthusiasm, Bennett University welcomed its freshers' batch of 2023 with a dynamic orientation day that left a lasting impact on newcomers. The campus buzzed with a contagious energy as the day unfolded with a series of engaging activities and informative sessions.

The Times School of Media (TSOM), a beacon of experiential learning, hosted an engaging orientation programme, leaving the freshers inspired and eager to start their academic journey. "The orientation was beyond amazing! Seniors welcomed us with warm camaraderie, making us feel at home instantly. The radio workshop was a delight, and I can't wait to dive into the world of films and media," Jagneet Singh, a budding film talent, said.

Trish Paatni's journey from Kolkata to Bennett University was fuelled by aspirations. "The TSOM holds the key to my dreams and this orientation has consolidated that belief further. It was a refreshing start to my college life, and I'm eagerly looking forward to day 2," he said.

RJ Divya from Radio City added an electrifying touch to the day, regaling students with anecdotes from her career and even providing a platform for some to showcase their own RJ talents. The session not only bridged the gap between the professional world and academia but also left the students charmed and motivated.

Rudra Kasturi's elucidation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in media illuminated the potential that lies ahead. He shed light on the forthcoming AI labs within the university, underscoring the integration of technology in media studies. His insights sparked a multitude of ideas among the attendees, hinting at the transformative role AI is poised to play in the industry.

"Witnessing the dedication of the second and third-year students in organizing this event has been incredibly rewarding. The enthusiasm among the newcomers is inspiring and strengthens the spirit of unity on campus for sure," Pratham Maheshwari, a third-year BAJMC student and a key student-coordinator for the orientation said.

In a nutshell, TSOM's orientation day set an energetic tone for a new college journey. With interesting sessions, friendly interactions and valuable insights, the path ahead for these aspiring media professionals looks bright. As the day came to a close, excitement for their upcoming academic experiences started becoming the drawing room conversation..

A Curtain Call to Remember: Jashn-E-Cinema 2026

Jashn-E-Cinema 2026 embodied the university's vibrant cultural spirit through a night of unity, talent, and reflection. The highlight was BYOB Live's finale, where the audience joined in singing and swaying, blurring the stage and crowd in a shared, emotional celebration marking the year's end. The evening opened with a poignant badge ceremony honouring club leaders for their dedication, setting a reflective tone before the performances. Clubs showcased diverse talents: Advaita's energetic band set the musical rhythm; Cerebrum's witty Farzi Mushaira skit satirised poetry; Panache's ethnic-modern ramp walk dazzled visually; Verve's narrative Bollywood dance enthralled; Ansh's comedic theatre Big B chal Padhe delivered laughs; and Rivaaz's classical dance closed gracefully. Vikram Singh, Music Society Secretary, summed it up: “A great end to the year—a final goodbye, but a celebration of what we’ve built together.” The event was a farewell tapestry of collaboration, from quiet honours to explosive energy.
