Motivational speaker peps up the mood at freshers' party
By Prakshali Tiwari
It has been a prolonged period of quarantine, stay-home compulsions, and lifestyle revolving around the internet. Psychologists say this breakdown of everyday rhythm of life has thrown the young into a sense of dystopia and even psychological depression.

Therefore, what better guest than the motivational speaker and a digital content creator, Gauri Sood, to pep up students and set the tone of Blue Moon 5.0?

The Bennett Student Council organized the online freshers party, Blue Moon 5.0 via YouTube Live. The event was designed to getting the students closest to what an offline party feels like.

The memo of the event involved cultural performances of dance and singing by the numerous extra co-curricular clubs of BU and ended with the anointment of Mr. and Ms. Freshers.

Ms. Sood threw light on the psychological issues and loss of motivation that students might have faced, by sharing her story. She emphasized that the best way to deal with the pandemic induced disorder, was by accepting the reality of the situation and doing what makes one happy. She reminded the students about the importance of college years, helping to shape the personality.

Her positive vibes set the mood for most of the freshers and seniors. The message of living life to its fullest was well received by everyone. Finally, Ms. Sood advised all the students to show kindness and spread love, thus, also sharing the secret of happiness. She also cautioned against over-thinking and judging people all the time and encouraged them to make most out of the available opportunities.
