Kaashi- cast and crew’s fun session at Bennett University
“I always clean my slate whenever I switch from one movie to another,” said Sharman Joshi , lead actor of the upcoming movie Kaashi, while addressing students of Bennett University .
‘Kaashi in Search of Ganga’ is an upcoming thriller movie which stars Sharman Joshi andAishwarya Devan . The stars visited the University and interacted with the students there.
They showed the trailer of the movie and explained how this movie is something which would change people’s perspective of thriller movies in India.
When asked by one of the students, what made him choose Kaashi, Sharman Joshi smartly replied, “I fell in love with the script as soon as I read it.”
“Though this role was quite complex and different from my previous roles, specially the one which I played in the movie 3 Idiots, but this role was worth the challenge taken” the actor added.
The female lead of the movies, Aishwarya Devan said, “I am from Times family as well and coming to such a beautiful campus feels like coming back home.”
Views on MeToo
One of the students asked Sharman Joshi on his view on the MeToo campaign, to which he replied, “It is good to see that the campaign has finally found momentum. The girls are feeling empowered due to this moment only and are coming out to take a stand.”
Some past learnings
Sharman Joshi also shared his learnings from his theatre days with the students. The actor recalled how the directors there wanted him to start fresh and rub off his slate of the previous roles he has done.
“That is exactly what I implement while doing movies. I forget the previous roles totally and start fresh,” Joshi said.
The session was quite an interactive one which left the students happy and delighted.
