Uphoria 2019 ends on a euphoric note
All good things come to an end and the final night of Uphoria 2k19 started with the most awaited prom night. Boys dressed in their formal best and girls in shimmery gowns danced with their partners and friends. Bennett University swayed to slow romantic songs under the night sky.

“We had been practicing for two weeks. We curated four different routines for our couples and they picked the one that suited them,” said Nandana Varshney, third year BTech student, a performer as well as organizer.

Changing the mood, Karunesh Talwar, a stand-up comedian, filled the air with laughter and took the temperature a notch higher with his satires on the coming election and Indian uncles. His spontaneity with jokes on the crowd made the evening even more hilarious. With his witty lines he garnered attention of a large number of students.

While everyone held their stomachs after a great laugh, a performance by the rock band, The Local Train, came to rescue. They sang their compositions and took the students into a trance. Students not only just cheered for them but also crooned with them, turning the atmosphere light and lovely.

“I am huge fan of The Local Train. I remember every lyric of songs they played and I had a wish to meet the band, which came true tonight,” said Nandini Bishnoi, second year BAJMC student.

Yet another fest comes to a close leaving every student feeling nostalgic and bags filled with memories. With only one year left for third- and second-year students to graduate from college, Prateek Soni, a third year BTech student said, “The rush and liveliness of the college during the fest is something that is always going to hold a pleasant memory.”
