At IPL screening, Bennett students get a surprise

Bennettians turned up in huge numbers to experience this year’s first IPL match screening held at Bennett University. Students who were fans of Hardik Pandya-ledGujarat Titans and M.S. Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings turned up in large numbers despite adverse weather conditions. Sports BU , the sports club of Bennett University , had organised the screening and to cater to the excitement and enthusiasm of fans from both the teams, firecrackers were lit on every boundary hit by the batter.
Sports BU also had a surprise planned for the students yesterday evening, where they revealed their eventSportikon 2023. The 4-day sports event will commence from April 6 and end on April 9. Sportikon will have students from various colleges across the nation competing with each other in 16 different sports for the ultimate title.
In the break between the first and second innings whereCSK set a total target of 179, a video was played by the sports BU which entailed nitty gritties of the Sportikon event.
“A lot planning went into it. This was a Sportikon event reveal. For the sports fest, a lot of sleepless nights went through, where Mehak, our videographer, did a lot of work to produce the reveal video. Rakshita, the designer, did lot of work in all the design elements including the flex,” said Kamakshi Singh, head of organising board of Sportikon.
The reveal was followed by the second innings of the match where the defending champions, Gujarat Titans managed to successfully chase the target with just four balls left.
