Physics Mindboggler: an initiative to inspire young minds
Laws of motion, riddles of black holes, gravitational force and other rigorous concepts of Physics will no longer haunt young minds. A third-year B.Tech student of Bennett University (BU), Pradyumn Mane, has launched a startup ‘Physics Mindboggler’(PM) with an endeavor to make Physics comprehensible and interesting for students.

Started as a blog in 2016, PM has transformed into a full-fledged startup in 2020. Mentored by Bennett Hatchery, an incubation center at BU, startup offers variety of content in the form of blogs, vlogs, books and research. Instead of conventional way of teaching, PM emphasizes on explaining concepts with practical applications and make Physics more engrossing.

Besotted by the beauty of the subject, Pradyumn started PM with the aim to evoke interest for Physics among the young generation and connect research with entrepreneurship. However, sensing an opportunity, he decided to make a career out of it.

“I was hypnotized by Physics and was curious to explore and share. So, I started my own blog and shared my exploration with others,” said Pradyumn who is studying Engineering Physics at BU.

In his pursuit to become an entrepreneur, Dr Vinod Shastri, professor-in-charge of Bennett Hatchery was a constant support in building PM. Started with a team of 12, it has many contributors from various fields such as law and mass communication in mere four months from start.

“I always wanted to fulfil my entrepreneurial goals with help of Physics. One of the primary objectives to join BU was the Bennett’s incubation center and the help it could extend to me for my projects,”Pradyumn said.

Soaring to new heights, PM recently made into the list of top 50 Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards. It has also launched an innovative product in collaboration with ‘Box of Science’ called the ‘Science kits’. Starting at just Rs 45, it provides practical knowledge about various concepts in Physics to school-going students. The kits are specifically designed for students from grade 1 to 12. Pradyumn believes that ‘Science Kits’ is a great tool that will help in immersive learning.

To those who fear Physics, Pradyumn asserts that it is a beautiful subject and if you show a little interest, it will pull you like a gravitational force. “We need to show the beauty of Physics to students and how it could lead to building revolutionary technologies,” he said.

With advisors from Tesla, Aartech Solonics, Enerjazz Technology Solutions,Box of Science, Technomentis and recently joined Dr Lidiya Komsiyska, a scientist from Germany, PM is all set to do wonders in the world of Physics in the future ahead.
