Sacred Games Quiz: BU students know 'too much'
Bennett University’s literary club ‘Cerebrum’ and social welfare club ‘Alexis’ came together to organize a fundraiser titled Sacred Games Quiz. The quiz was held based on the famous web series Sacred Games which is a Netflix original series. The event was held in NLH-101 with a total of 17 teams competing against one another.

The participants were quite excited to test their memory of one of the most famous series of all time. The web series is famous amongst Indian audience for its uniqueness and explicit language.

The quiz begins

The first round comprised of ten questions which had to be answered on a sheet of paper. All the questions had four options out of which only one was correct. The questions were a mix of easy and difficult ones which made the participants think hard. The first round ended and the second began while the organizing team checked for the right and wrong answers by the participants. Out of the 17 teams three teams qualified for the next round and five teams tied.

The five teams which tied with each other had a tie-breaker round out of which only two teams glided into the next round. The next round was a rapid-fire round which had a set of five questions. Each team was given 30 seconds to answer the given question. For each correct answer they received five marks and 1 mark was deducted for every wrong answer. The round was quite an intense one with participants trying their best to bag all the right answers.

Wildcard entry

The next round was a wildcard entry round for all the teams which were left behind. The teams were given a second chance to compete with the other teams in the final round. Some famous dialogs were displayed on the screen and the participants were asked to guess the names of the characters who spoke the dialog. One team who scored the highest proceeded towards the final round.

Battle for the title of ‘Winners

The final round began with a total of six teams trying their level best to score the highest. The round was titled bounce and pounce in which the teams had to ether answer the question directed towards them or pass the question to the next team.

The final round ended, and we had the winners which was ‘Team Dilwale’. The winners- Abhinandan Bhatnagar and Mayank Tripathi had a big surprise in store for them as they received Amazon vouchers worth Rs.600 as a prize. The runner ups were ‘Team Trivedi’ which was not far behind. The event was not only engrossing but also fun to witness.

Saumya Teotia who was in the organizing team said, “It is really fun organizing such events and see the students participate. This time we were doing it for a noble cause of fundraising, so it multiplied the happiness of both organizing the event and seeing it happen.’’
