Bennett University's annual sports fest Sportikon has seen some fierce competition this year, and the third-place tennis match between Bennett University and Shiv Nadar University’s team 1 was no exception. The match was a marathon, lasting for hours and featuring three different sets of intense tennis.

The first set singles saw Bennett University take an early lead, winning 6-1 in a dominant display of skill. However, SNU 1 came back strong in the second set doubles, winning 7-5 to even the score. The third and final set was a nail-biting affair, with both teams playing at the top of their game. The match was tied at 6 all, and it all came down to an edge-cutting tie-breaker, which saw SNU 1 emerge victorious with a score of 7-5.

Bennett University's captain and player Abhimanyu Parikh played like a warrior against SNU's Kushagra Pant. The two players kept turning the tables on each other, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats. Despite the eventual loss, Parikh was gracious in defeat, saying, "Shiv Nadar University played an amazing game, and we congratulate them on their victory. It was a hard-fought match, and we gave it our all."

Reflecting on the match, Pant paid tribute to Bennett University's skill, saying "We knew going into the game that Bennett University was a formidable opponent. They pushed us to the limit, and we had to fight for every single point. It's a great feeling to come out on top after such a challenging match."

The players left everything on the court, making for a memorable match that will be talked about for years to come. The Sportikon tournament was a resounding triumph, shining a spotlight on the very best of lawn tennis. The event captured the essence of what makes sports so thrilling - the grit, determination, and passion of the players, and the unwavering support of the spectators.
