Bennett University celebrated “Ethnic Day” on April 4, 2022 on its campus. Bennettians looked jaw-dropping as they walked on the grounds of the university looking gorgeous in Indian attires. The day was full of joy as students from different castes and religions came together and represented their own communities, wearing outfits like the ones they wear back in their hometowns.

The highlight of the day were a group of South Indian students, wearing similar shirts with mundu. They roamed all around the campus playing their regional songs, loudly on a speaker. They caught the attention of everyone in the university, who then joined the group, shaking their legs on the fun songs played by the group of boys.

Said Priyal Kaushik, student of Post Graduation Diploma in Advertising and Marketing, “It was a great sight to see how excited the students were about dressing up for the ethnic day. They were clicking pictures together and seemed to be enjoying themselves”.

Ruhin Kapoor, also a student of the same course said that “It was really nice to see to see how proud they were of their culture and they seemed to have enjoyed the day to the fullest”. Harshvardhan, another student from their class, who had not carried ethnic clothes, missed the opportunity to dress up like the others on this day, and said that he wishes for the “ethnic day” to be repeated so that he also gets a chance to dress like the rest.

The students of Bennett University complimented the sunny day perfectly as they wore bright outfits to their classes and the cafeteria that day. Girls left no stone unturned in giving their best to look gorgeous on this day. They were seen in kurtas, anarkaalis, salwar-kameez, and other styles of ethnic wear. Some girls were even spotted wearing a saree, making heads turn inside Bennett University’s campus.

What left everyone, including the faculty of the university surprised was how seriously the boys of the university took the celebration. They looked like handsome hunks as they opted to wear Indian outfits styled in many different ways. While some wore short kurtas with jeans, others were seen in full-length kurtas with appropriate bottoms. Everyone was very happy as they got to get in-touch with their culture despite being away from home. Students are looking forward to more such fun events on Bennett University’s campus.
