The One book you shouldn't miss if you like romance

The third and final instalment of the young adult dystopian romance series, "Selection," written by Kiera Cass, is titled, 'The One'. It continues where the second book, 'The Elite', left off, with the Selection's remaining girls vying for Prince Maxon's affections and the right to succeed Illea's current monarch.
The love triangle still exists when this novel takes up immediately after 'The Elite', and it must be resolved by the very end of this volume. But I was also pleasantly delighted to see greater character development in The Elite's other members. I was eager to learn more about the origins and personalities of such diverse girls from various castes, and it was gratifying to watch the girls start to bond over their shared experience rather than just be catty rivals.
America's family is also given greater detail, and I liked the chance to witness her go home for the first time following her involvement in 'The Selection'. I was able to observe how much she had changed, how she had matured as a person, and how she had begun to live a life determined by her goals.
I thought 'The One' was a satisfying way to wrap up the series overall. The plot moved along quickly, and there was a lot of drama and action. The high point of the series continued to be the romance between America and Maxon, and how their relationship developed naturally and convincingly.
I liked how this book built on the world-building of the earlier works, which was one of its strengths. We gain more knowledge of Illea's politics and history, which gave the narrative depth and complexity. Additionally, there were a few unexpected narrative twists and turns that kept me on edge and increased the story's overall suspense.
Overall, I would suggest 'The One' to readers who like dystopian romance books as well as lovers of the series. It's not a ground-breaking or a particularly insightful book, but it is enjoyable and has a happy ending.
