Love Your Own Self

BY MANSI TIBREWAL

Sometimes, it feels overwhelming when you have so much going on in life. The idea of escaping reality, leaving everything behind and going to a faraway place can seem appealing, but then you realize that you have people who love and support you. It's ironic that when things are hectic, you crave calmness, but when everything is smooth, you fear that something will go wrong.

It's important to take a moment and appreciate what's going on around you. Sometimes, you may feel like you have to behave a certain way to please others, but it's important to be true to yourself. Fear of judgment or losing relationships can make it difficult to express yourself, but remember that those who truly care for you will accept you for who you are.

You may feel like you're always the one adjusting and listening to others, but it's important to speak up and be heard as well. It's okay to have differing opinions and to argue constructively. You're not weak for having these feelings, and it's important to recognize that.

It's understandable to feel hurt when you're accused of things you didn't do or when people misunderstand you. But remember that you're loyal and helpful, and those who matter will see that. Healing from past relationships can take time, but it's important to focus on the present and the people who are here for you now. Above all, stay strong for the people who love you and support you. You are valued, and your presence is important.

"When you begin to appreciate and love yourself, the opinions and judgments of others will no longer hold power over your life. It's important to understand that no matter what you do, people will always talk and gossip about others to distract themselves from their own pain. Instead of envying those with a large circle of friends, pity them because when they are in need, none of those thousand friends will step up to help them. Be proud of the 2-3 people in your life who are there for you through thick and thin, the ones you can call at 1 am and know they'll be there for you. These are the people who don't need to see you to know when you're sad and will always be there to support you. Cherish them, keep them close, live your life to the fullest, and let others envy the deep and meaningful relationships you have in your life."

Life can be overwhelming at times,
A desire to escape, leave behind the grind.
But we have those who love and support,
Reminding us of life's true import.

When everything is calm and clear,
Fear creeps in, something's near.
But don't let it hold you back,
Find courage to take life's track.

It's okay to speak up and be heard,
Even if it may cause a stir.
For those who truly care,
Will listen and be there.

Find solace in those who stay,
Through thick and thin, come what may.
Cherish them and hold them close,
For their love is what matters most.
