Self-Growth

By Sumaira Berry

To someone who's going to begin with the new phase of their life,

Firstly, a big congratulations to you for surviving all these years of your life. You really did so well and made your loved ones proud. Now you are going to take first step towards adulthood, a new phase of your life where you'll have so many new experiences for the first time.

Most probably you'll begin with your college life, you will move to new city, you will meet new people, you will make new friends. Everything is going to be so different from before and you'll have to fight it all alone.

Friends and family will have expectations from you, you will go through the pressure of not disappointing them, you might face disappointment in the process, you may fail but trust me it's all okay.

This is what life exactly is. We fall and we learn. May be it will take time, you might lose patience, you might think of giving up but once you surpass all of these obstacles you'll be so proud of yourself.

At times, you'll feel loneliness and may be you'll find someone who'll give you a shoulder to cry on and make you feel the warmth of being loved. You will go through heartbreak, you will be shattered. You will find hard to share your feelings with anyone or maybe people will fail to understand you. And once again you'll be left all alone and dejected.

But amidst all of this you've to keep reminding yourself that this is not the end. Life is full of hurdles at every step, you overcome one there's another one waiting for you. In this journey of life you will meet so many new people. Some will try to make you, some will try to break you. Society is all set standing there to criticize you after you every failure. They will make you feel worthless so many times. It's you who have to take lessons from all of this and come out as a winner with a smile.

Pain makes you stronger but at times it gets hard to bear it. You can cry on those days. Crying doesn't show you are weak. Cry your heart out when you feel weak, talk to your loved ones and get up next morning with a smile on your face. You're a champion never forget that.

From,

Someone who’s coming from the same place.
