Voices Unheard

BY MANSI TIBREWAL

In our noisy world, it can be confusing to hear so many people talking, sharing their opinions, and giving information. We all have a natural urge to express ourselves and connect with others. But sometimes, it's frustrating when we can't find the right words to communicate our thoughts or share our experiences effectively. We may feel like our voice is being ignored among all the other voices.

One reason why there is so much talking is because there are many ways to communicate nowadays. Social media and technology have given us new ways to express ourselves, share our stories, and talk with others. It's become easy for anyone to say a lot of things. But we need to remember that just because there's a lot of talking doesn't mean it's all important or helpful. Sometimes, meaningful communication gets lost in the flood of information. Real understanding requires listening carefully, caring about others' feelings, and truly engaging in conversation. Unfortunately, these important things are often forgotten as people try to make themselves heard.

When someone tries to do more than others or make a big impact, they can end up feeling left behind. In our society, we often measure success by what we achieve and how much attention we get. Those who work quietly or behind the scenes can easily be ignored. Their hard work may go unnoticed, and they might feel like they're not being appreciated. This can lead to feelings of being left out or left behind.

Additionally, when people stand out or act differently from what others expect, they can become the subject of gossip or teasing. The fear of being judged or laughed at can make it hard for people to be themselves and share their true thoughts and experiences. It takes courage to be open and honest, knowing that some people might criticize or make fun of you.

In this noisy world, it's important to remember that the number of words we say doesn't determine their value. Meaningful communication isn't about how much we talk, but about understanding and connecting with others on a deeper level. We should focus on listening, caring, and being open-minded in our conversations. Quality matters more than quantity. By doing this, we can create spaces where everyone's voice is respected, heard, and valued, breaking free from gossip and laughter.

Amidst the chatter, I long to be heard,
But words escape, like a fleeting bird.
In the stream of opinions, I seek connection,
Yet, my voice is lost in this vast reflection.

So much is said, in a world full of noise,
But meaningful words, they often poise.
Quantity may flourish, yet quality fades,
True understanding, in the chaos, evades.

Striving to do more, to make a mark,
I find myself lost, left alone in the dark.
For recognition is often tied to the grand,
While the quiet efforts, unseen, expand.

When I dare to be different, to break free,
Whispers arise, gossip surrounds me.
Fear of laughter, of being mocked,
Hampers my spirit, keeps my voice locked.

But amidst the clamor, I'll find my way,
Crafting a poem with words I'll convey.
For true worth lies not in the spoken spree,
But in the connections we form, you see.

In the depths of listening, empathy resides,
Open hearts, open minds, where unity abides.
Let's value the essence, the depth of our speech,
And create a world where all voices can reach.

So, let us embrace the silence, let us embrace,
The beauty of words, woven with grace.
In this poetic dance, let us truly be,
An orchestra of voices, in harmony.
