Bigger, better placement windows for TSOM students

The Times School of Media (TSOM ) organisanded a placement townhall for the Times School of Media students studying journalism, films, liberal arts and also the post-graduate students.
Under Dr.Sanjeev Singh , the new TSOM Dean, the media courses have been revamped with renewed focus on the evolving and new media industry so that students become industry ready in the true sense . The placement townhall, held on August 10, 2023, was one such initiative to show students the way to seamlessly transition from college to careers.

The townhall discussion focused on students having a future goal in their lives and a better Curriculum Vitae (CV). A mentors' board consisting of TSOM professorsShruti Jain , Nikhil Pandey, Sandeep Bhushan Pallavi Bansal and Moina Khan will be guiding students on better job and internships opportunities.
The board has added another new platform known as theStudents Placement Board. This board will consist of 10 students from Semester V and 3 each with one student being the head. “This board will follow the system of ‘Succession Planning ’ in which the senior students will train the juniors on how to get better placements and this knowledge will be parted to the upcoming generation of juniors in the board," Board head Jain said.
The eligibility criteria for the student board membership is a CGPA of 7 and above with no disciplinary action taken against the aspiring members . “This university is a place of opportunities. Tt is your job as the future of the workforce to grab it,” she said.
The townhall ended with a pledge which the students wrote for their upcoming future of brighter and better job placements in the university.
