The Mighty Boltz led by Deepak won the finals of Wall-e-Ball, the annual volleyball tournament of Bennett University on Thursday, defeating the Super Spades team two games to one.

The Boltz won the toss and decided to serve in the game. The team had dominated the game from the word go, scoring eight points in five minutes. The Spades could only manage three.

Though the Spades did pick up some momentum later on in the match, they lost the set 16-25.
The Boltz began the second game too by taking a quick lead over the opponents. The set was nearly tied at 2-2 but a brilliant smash by the captain brought the Boltz back in the lead.
The other part of the game saw the Boltz taking lead and scoring more points.
The Spades too brought their best game and attempted to win the set, however, once again the early birds took a major lead in the game. The game ended at 25-21.
The third set saw the Boltz scoring a few quick points and taking a lead in the match.
A smash by the Spades captain Aditya Sai eventually won his teamthe third set.
The Boltz took the match because they had won two out of the three sets.

“It was great seeing an intra-house match at the university. Looking forward for such matches after seeing this level of matches here” said Smriti Negi, the womens’ volleyball captain.
“It did not really matter who had won the game. It was all about the quality of the game and the time I spent watching here!” said Pooja Lakshmi, another member of the women’s volleyball team of the university and a student of Law.
“The match was spectacular. One of the teams was best at attacking and the other was best at defending. It was great fun to look at the match” said Chandu Appasani, a spectator at the match.
“Both the teams who were finalists this year were finalists last year as well. The team which won this time had lost last year. The best thing about sports is that nobody gives up,” said Pratima Singh, the sports officer of Bennett University.
