BU gears up for upcoming end-term exams

Bennett University is all set to enter the examination period with 5,973 students, including the active and non-active students, appearing for the even semester’s end-term examination. The date sheet was rolled out on April 23, Sunday, by the Controller of Examination (CoE) of the university. The exams are scheduled to begin on May 12 and will end on May 29.
“We start preparing the date sheet a month before because course-wise structure has to come from respective schools,”
All the schools, School of Law, Times School of Media, School of Management, School of Liberal Arts, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and School of Computer Science Engineering and Technology, have turned in their question papers as a part of the preparation process as it takes 20 days to print them. A total of 336 question papers are made and will be printed for different subjects across the exam season. To conduct this semester’s examination 52 rooms have been earmarked as examination halls.

About 250 faculty members have been kept on invigilation duty. With more than 5,000 students appearing for the exams, 30,000 to 35,000 answer sheets have been arranged to be used throughout the 17-day period of exams.

Speaking about the importance of end-term exams, Shruti Jain, Associate Professor said, “A revision is necessary. Revising something that you’ve learned is necessary to retain that information. Exams are a way to help you revise and retain, if studied properly.”
The end-terms can also be a grade-changer for many. “People who worked throughout the semester can change their grades and move upwards. There are some people who don’t perform well with the assignments during the semester. The end-terms are a way for them to study hard, score well and balance their score,” said Era Parmar, a student at Bennett University.
