Bennett University’s 5th Convocation Ceremony was a grand affair with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath calling it a world class campus and congratulating Chancellor Vineet Jain for striving to take the university to heights of excellence.

“Bennett has proven to be a world class university with so much range and many schools for courses and education and with 30+ industrialists linked to the advisory board of Bennett for advice and placements,” he said in his speech as Chief Guest.

He mentioned the importance of a harmonic and advanced society that is always moving forward in the world, “I am very happy that Bennett University has been on the forefront of making society a better and more advanced place in many aspects since its inception as a platform for higher education,” he said.

He also highlighted the Bennett University's role in positioning India as a global leader in technology, research, development and industry. “India will lead the world in technology, research, development and industries due to our higher education institutions,” he added.

He exhorted the Faculty members and students to work on bringing back the glory of higher education on which ancient India sat at the global level. “From Kanchi and Kashi, India was known and respected worldwide as a hub of higher education institutions of repute. We should, together, try and reach those heights of excellence again,” Adityanath said.

Talking about the first duty of citizens, he exhorted students to put nation before anything else. “If I had to choose between the country and my family, the country would come first,” he said.

He said, by 2047, India would become a superpower in the real sense of the term. “Panch Pran outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make India a superpower by 2047,” he said.

“When all the 142-crore people of India speak together and all together with the goal of moving ahead, there is no way we won't progress ahead,” the Chief Minister added.

The ceremony was marked by inspiring speeches and notable guests like State Cabinet Minister for Higher Education Yogendra Upadhyay, and the commencement of a new academic journey for the graduating students.

Nikhil Kamath, the Founder and CEO of Zerodha, shared his wisdom with the students, “My advice to students is don't learn on the syllabus and look at the world for your interests and more knowledge which is the need of the day.”

The convocation ended after a four-hour activity which kept the students excited. It symbolized not just the culmination of academic journeys but also the beginning of new endeavors for the graduates, armed with the wisdom shared by accomplished speakers from various fields.
