BU introduces Sports Committee

On the second day of the orientation program witnessed an engaging address by theSports Committee of Bennett University . Bennett University has always excelled in sports and will be continuing to do so in the upcoming years. Mr. Arun Kumar , Head of the Sports Committee with his team not introduced other members and departments but also celebrated numerous achievements as well as talked about sports being an integral part of student’s life.
“Bennett University participates in some AIUtournaments , inter-house tournaments, and some state-level tournaments, we also introduce our team to national-level or club-level championships also, and we provide you jerseys and accommodations, we wanted to showcase your talent at different levels”, said Mr. Arun Kumar, Sports Head of Bennett university.
Sports Committee supports athletes as well as individuals who have the enthusiasm to be a part of the sports club or teams at Bennett. The Committee Emphasizes the importance of sports in a student's life after a long tiring day, it works as a refreshment, fostering teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.
Yash Jaiswal, Deputy Secretary of the Sports Committee, said, “The common thing we already know is that sports help us to enhance our cardiovascular Health and physical fitness, talking about the accomplishments our men’s football, basketball, and cricket teams have achieved at higher levels”.
The campus has different courts and grounds for different sports such as indoor courts, basketball courts, cricket grounds, football grounds, squash and badminton court, a swimming pool, etc., and also a common room in girls' and boys' hostels with TT tables.
“There are numerous upcoming sports events, the first event will be on the 29th of August, we organize sports fest and tournaments for the teams as well as take part in inter-college sports tournaments, there are four clubs heroic Hearts, super spades, keen kickers and mighty bolts, soon the auction will be held and the houses will bid on players”, said Mahek Gupta, second deputy secretary of sports committee.
The session was concluded with Kamakshi Singh, secretary of the sports committee, answering all the queries of the Freshers, she mentioned that Sports Committee at Bennett University focuses not only on athletes but also it motivates students to play and provides the required facilities for the same. At the end of the session, the committee announced they have organized a fun sports event in the evening for all thefreshers to make them aware with the rest of the committee members.
