Expedite 2019 comes to a successful end
Expedite 2019, Bennett University’s first Inter-College sports fest came to a glorious end today. Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education took home the trophy for basketball, Ashoka University for football, Guru Nanak Dev University for badminton (boys), Hansraj College for Badminton (girls) and finally Motilal Nehru College won the first place in Football.

The three day fest came to an end with an extravagant ceremony with beautiful performances by Spic Macay, the traditional dance, music and art club of the university followed by a fun Bhangra performance by the cricket team of Bennett University.

Nandana Varshney, the Sports Secretary said, “The fest proved to be an astounding success. It is a landmark for Bennett to have hosted its first sports fest. It was made possible only by the support of our college and our sponsors. We also thank the teams who participated to have made this fest a huge success.”

The sports fest was attended by 12 teams from different universities, competing in four sports; badminton, football, basketball and volleyball. The winners of each sport were awarded by the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honor which included the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. R.K Shivgaonkar and the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr Milind Padalkar and the Sports Officers of Bennett Unversity, Pratima Singh and Vineet Nehra.

“Expedite was an amazing experience and the tough competition made the event even more worthwhile. The three days spent here with all the sporting and then the activities in the evening made it a wholesome experience,” said Vansh Sinha, Football player from BML Munjal.
