Keen Kickers wear FUTHEROES crown

Keen Kickers A were crowned the champions of FUTHEROES 4.0 as they beat Super Spades A 2-1 in the final while Heroic Hearts A claimed third place. The tournament was held from 15-20 January.

The tournament had started in two pools of three teams. Super Spades A, Heroic Hearts B and Keen Kickers A were in pool A; Mighty Boltz A, Keen Kickers B and Heroic Hearts A were in pool B. The group stages took place on the 15th of January, with Super Spades A, Keen Kickers A; Mighty Boltz A and Heroic Hearts A qualifying for the semifinals from their respective groups.

The next day, Keen Kickers A and Super Spades A would go on to beat Mighty Boltz A and Heroic Hearts A in the semifinals. Abhay Lamba was the standout performer as he scored four goals to help his team ease into the finals

On 20th January, the third-place playoffs and grand finals were held. Heroic Hearts A pipped Mighty Boltz A to the consolation prize. As Super Spades and Keen Kickers took to the field in the finals, the crowd cheered on loudly as Abhay Lamba (BBA) scored twice after Super Spades had nicked a goal against the Kickers to propel his team to the trophy. He would also finish the tournament as the top goal scorer. “It is a great feeling for us. I wish I could’ve scored in the finals, but it doesn’t matter. The team winning is more important. The opposition played well, and it wasn’t easy for us”, Keen Kickers forward Devesh Srivastava (BTech) said.
