Media Students win Radio Festival 2020 award

The soundscape “Yeh Dilli Hai Mere Yaar”, produced by the first-year students of the Times School of Media, bagged the first prize in the audio installation section of The Radio Festival, held on the World Radio Day, at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts on February 13.

The soundscape was produced by Avni Bagrola, Minakshi Tiwari, and Prakhar Srivastava, first Year students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication Hindi Programme, under the guidance of Dr. Moina Khan, Assistant Professor.

The soundscape that brings out Delhi’s essence through native sounds received highly encouraging feedback from the Judges and audience.

The Festival was attended by executives from UNESCO, Prasar Bharati, AIR, Doordarshan and Private Radio Stations, Journalists, Academicians, Students, Podcasters and Community Radio Broadcasters from across borders.

Nisha Narayanan, COO and Director, Red FM and Magic FM gave away the awards to the students.
