Mr and Ms Fresher crowned at Bluemoon 8.0

The titles of Mr and MsFresher were handed out at BlueMoon 8.0, the fresher’s party held for freshman year students at Bennett University (BU), on the 27th of September, 2023. The title of Ms. Fresher was bagged by Ghanishta Jodha and Siddhant Chauhan was crowned as Mr. Fresher for the batch of 2023-24.
”I wanted people to hear me out in the form of poetry, that I performed during the talent hunt held a week preceding the event. I never thought that I would manage to get myself to bag this position of honor, but I’m very grateful for it,” says Jodha, fixing her sash that reads ‘Bluemoon 8.0, Miss Fresher.’
Chauhan, on the other hand, claimed that he had faith in himself and the fact that the Mr. Fresher sash had his name written all over it. “I believed in myself and I had a feeling that I had a shot at winning this,” claimed Chauhan.
A talent hunt was held for thefreshers a week before the party by the student council and the performing clubs and it witnessed an active participation from the freshmen. However, after thorough auditioning and marking, a total of fourteen finalists were chosen to present themselves by ramp-walking on a bigger stage at the fresher’s party.
The fourteen participants who entered the semi final round were told to win the hearts of JudgesDaisy Khound , North-West Diva 2023 and Anushka Lekharu, Femina Miss India Assam 2023, and the finalists did a pretty good job.
“It was a challenge, you know, picking the top 7 out of the semi finalists and finally, picking the two winners. All of them did a beautiful job,” Khound told the audience.
The top 7 finalists chosen by the judges, apart from Jodha and Chauhan wereAryan Chaudhary , Aarchi Sharma, Vishesh Guha Majumdar , Shivali Agarwal, Harsh Kumar .
The 7 Finalists were given another challenge in the form of a situation game, where the guest host, RJ Rabia from Radio Mirchi, gave the contestants a hypothetical situation, through which they had to answer their way out.
Apart from the Ms. And Mr. Freshers, the title of ‘Best Walk’ was awarded to Aarchi Sharma and the crown of ‘Best Dressed’ was given to Harsh Kumar. The night ended with the winners being awarded gift hampers from Hi Life, the sponsors of the event, and a cash prize of INR 2500 to Mr. and Ms. Freshers and INR 1500 to ‘Best Walk’ and ‘Best Dressed’ from the University.
