Dancing on the beats of Natu Natu, loud and non-stop hooting when Ram Charan showed off his chiseled body were some of the many instances where students couldn’t hold their enthusiasm at the RRR movie screening that took place yesterday at Bennett University.

NSS BU, in collaboration with Sunset Movie Club, organised a movie screening where Bennettians got to watch the Golden Globe and Academy Award winning movie and experience the cinematic masterpiece, RRR.

Despite paid tickets, each priced at ₹20 per head, the seats were full at 101 and 102 NLH ten minutes before the screening, which portrayed RRR’s craze and popularity among the students.

In order to cater to the Telegu audience, the language in which the movie was originally made, RRR was screened simultaneously in both languages - Telegu and Hindi. The initiative was much appreciated not only by South Indian students but also by students from North India too. “I think this initiative inculcated a sense of inclusivity among students, alongside respecting the individual beauty of the movie being screened in its regional language,” said Nandika Mishra, a student at Bennett University.

The screening of RRR was also the reason for numerous students to cheer for their favourite stars, forgetting their busy schedule for a moment and release their stress while having a gala time with their peers.

Dhruv Singh, a Bennett student said, “It was definitely a stress buster for me. I along with my friends enjoyed these three hours to the fullest where we giggled, laughed and munched on snacks we had brought with us.”
