Everything Everywhere All at Once is estimated to be the most awarded film of all time. The film was nominated for 11 awards at 95th Academy Awards and won several notable ones like Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress among others. The film followed the story of Evelyn, a Chinese immigrant in America who travels different universes to save her daughter.
“I think the movie was definitely Oscar-worthy. The cinematic depiction and the overall concept is what stood out with Director’s crazy and creative mind,” Harsh Patil, B-Tech 2nd year student said.
The film’s screening was a mix of aahs and oohs from the audience as they sat on the edge of their seats in the houseful auditorium. “The graphics were really on point. The way they showed time passing and universe skips was amazing,” Shaurya Tandon, another student said.
The movie was perhaps a fitting choice for the students. In addition to being a cinematic masterpiece, it looked at life from a unique perspective. While highlighting how there are infinite universes with a different version of you in each of them, it also emphasizes that in this universe, you control your actions. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.”
