The lack of government involvement in regulating the cost of private college education has only exacerbated this issue.

Unlike public colleges and universities, private institutions do not receive government funding, and as a result, must rely on tuition and donations to fund their operations. Additionally, private colleges often have smaller student populations, which can also contribute to the high cost of tuition. With fewer students enrolled, private institutions are forced to charge higher tuition fees to make up for the lack of revenue generated by student fees.

However, the high cost of tuition associated with private college education can often limit access to these benefits for students from low-income families.

The Indian government has a role to play in making private college education more affordable and accessible to students. The government should consider providing subsidies and grants to private colleges that meet certain educational standards. This would help ensure that students receive quality education while also reducing the burden of high tuition fees.
