Bennett University’s official Literary and Debating Society successfully organised the Model United Nations (BU MUN) Conference 4.0, which took place on November 15th and 16th, 2025, at Bennett University, with over 350 delegates representing more than 65 institutions across the country. The two-day event brought together delegates from diverse institutions to engage in healthy debate and policy formulation across four different committees. This year, BU MUN brought together a rich variety of communities: UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council), UNCSW (United Nations Commission on the Status of Women), AIPPM (All India Political Parties Meet), UNSC (United Nations Security Council, IP (International Press), and the widely talked-about IPL Auction Committee.

Although each committee offered its own intellectual depth, the IPL Auction enjoyed remarkable attention for its refreshing structure and its fast-paced simulation. With a price pool of 2.5 lakhs, the committees carried a competitive edge that increases excitement while maintaining the spirit of analytical thinking and negotiations that MUNs are known for.
The conference highlights the commitment of different universities to critical thinking, global perspective, and an experimental way of learning. The first day began with delegates arriving in their brightest Indian traditional attire, instantly turning the venue into a colourful and cultural hub. After registration, the opening ceremony set the tone; serious issues ahead, but with enthusiasm and open minds. Thereafter, the committee moved towards a healthy debate on different issues. Committee session one saw delegates take the floor with confident opening speeches, each trying to set an agenda and steer the room. After a short lunch break, session two of the committee began with even better energy. Alliances were formed, blocs began to take shape, and debate grew sharper and more intense.

Adding a soulful dimension to the intellectually charged environment was the very vibrant Sufi Night, one of the most cherished experiences of BU MUN 4.0. The evening offered delegates a chance to slow down, celebrate, and connect through music and warmth through music and warmth perfectly complementing the otherwise high-intensity event.

The second day, delegates arrived in their western formal attire, with notes in hand and strategies in mind. Committee session three saw a deep dive into amendments, negotiations, and merged resolutions. The discussions grew to be more strategic, and delegates grew to be more determined. Session Four proved to be one of the most important sessions for the entire committee. Every speech, every clause, every negotiation mattered. As the committee prepared for voting.

By the time resolutions passed, the delegates had experienced the full rollercoaster of diplomacy, persuasion, pressure, and compromise. The valedictory ceremony wrapped up the conference on a high note, capturing the spirit of the two days: reflective, encouraging, and filled with anticipation. Delegates left the hall with the thrill of having participated in something intellectually demanding yet personally meaningful.

BU MUN 4.0 was not just a competitive platform. It was a space where students learned to think critically, disagree respectfully, research deeply, and express confidently. It successfully combined debate with diplomacy and professionalism with cultural warmth.

A Curtain Call to Remember: Jashn-E-Cinema 2026

Jashn-E-Cinema 2026 embodied the university's vibrant cultural spirit through a night of unity, talent, and reflection. The highlight was BYOB Live's finale, where the audience joined in singing and swaying, blurring the stage and crowd in a shared, emotional celebration marking the year's end. The evening opened with a poignant badge ceremony honouring club leaders for their dedication, setting a reflective tone before the performances. Clubs showcased diverse talents: Advaita's energetic band set the musical rhythm; Cerebrum's witty Farzi Mushaira skit satirised poetry; Panache's ethnic-modern ramp walk dazzled visually; Verve's narrative Bollywood dance enthralled; Ansh's comedic theatre Big B chal Padhe delivered laughs; and Rivaaz's classical dance closed gracefully. Vikram Singh, Music Society Secretary, summed it up: “A great end to the year—a final goodbye, but a celebration of what we’ve built together.” The event was a farewell tapestry of collaboration, from quiet honours to explosive energy.
