What could happen when philosophy meets love, on a bigger screen?” Students at TSOM Bennett University got the answer to this on 23rd September 2025, with the cast of Tara & Akash, Jitesh Thakur & Alankrita Bora, who visited the campus for an interactive promotional event ahead of their film release on 26th September.

“What could happen when philosophy meets love, on a bigger screen?” Students at TSOM Bennett University got the answer to this on September 23, 2025, with the cast of Tara & Akash, Jitesh Thakur & Alankrita Bora, who visited the campus for an interactive promotional event ahead of their film release on 26th September.

The session began with a warm welcome from Dhiraj Singh, Deputy Dean of TSOM, who praised the budding talents for their artistic spirit. The host for the event, Aditya and Navsheen, then set the tone for the
afternoon, which blended the film promotion with lively audience engagement. The trailer screening received applause across the room, reflecting Bennett’s enthusiasm for cinema and storytelling.
The actors shared candid insights about their journeys. Thakur, a Jaipur-based filmmaker and scriptwriter, struck an instant chord with the audience, adding, “I’ve enjoyed the energy on this campus. Such cheerful faces — I’d love to be here if I could complete my master’s. This is a lovely campus, even for a shoot.” Whereas Bora, a trained Kathak dancer, producer and former Miss Diva Universe, gave insight into her journey, having said that, “I was planning to study economics at LSE, but life took a turn with Miss Diva. Today I’m here because of that leap of faith.”

Further into the session, when they were asked about their characters, Bora described Tara as a character who loves magic, resonating with her thought of “leaving things up to the universe to an extent”, while Thakur highlighted Akash’s character as someone who believes in “Love beyond realms’ philosophy”. He further added
that the story has drawn inspiration from Autobiography of a Yogi, the book that “weaves in the light and realms of love that transcend boundaries.”
The Duo also emphasized the role of the location they chose for their movie, Switzerland, describing it as “a character in itself”, while also motivating students at TSOM to pursue their passions. “If you want to make a film, you don’t necessarily need to know filmmaking; you just require that fire within yourself”, Thakur added, asking students to value persistence over perfection.

To sum up the film in a line, Thakur added, “a fresh love story with a bit of philosophy—if you’re a seeker, you will love this.” The session closed on an exciting note with the announcement of 20 special premiere tickets for students at TSOM for the Delhi screening of the film.
As students rushed to live their fan moment and capture selfies and autographs, the event became more than a promotion; it reflected the university’s openness, creativity and environment where the classroom extends into interactions connecting real life with art and philosophy.
