This documentary shot by TSOM students Ananya Barath, Shubhangi Sarkar, Aanya Singh and Anusha Thakran explores the art of Chhipa, or the traditional and handmade block printing style that emerged generations ago in the small town of Bagru, near Jaipur in Rajasthan. It is an art style that is also completely natural and sustainable, free from any industrial interference that poses a threat to nature. This documentary, thus serves as a reminder to embrace the traditional crafts that have shaped our lives and cultures over the years. Which are now disappearing with the influx and development of automation and technology in the arts and crafts industry.
