Students of BU pulled up their socks to debate and get quizzed on Day 2 of the literary fest, Aalekh 2024 by Cerebrum, the Debating and MUN club of Bennett University.
A Harry Potter-themed quiz buzzed the magical sparks of students. They were divided into teams named after the houses in the book series. The quiz took a literary turn and questions of Shakespearean plays were asked to the students, “The quiz was designed to test if the participants are true Potter heads or not. I really enjoyed planning the questions especially the Shakespeare round,” Cerebrum’s core team member, Zeal Bhagat said.
The quiz was followed up by ‘The Unheard’ debate competition, where students engaged in one one-on-one debate with each other on various social and political issues. “We debated for motion of the atomic bomb decision and Harry Truman. It was amazing listening to the opposition making some points which if they were true, it would have changed history. I am always up for a debate about the second world war,” first-year Btech CSE student, Riya Bhajan said.
After two days of amazing guest lectures by eminent authors and literary personalities, the fest was concluded with these competitions.
