The three-day annual cultural fest Uphoria left the audience spellbound with some phenomenal events on day one, ranging from dance performances to a mini mela. Day one of the fest concluded with an anticipating performance by the ‘Nalayak’ band, after an enchanting prom night.

The night started with a dance performance by Verve, the western dance club of the college, on popular songs like Pyaar ki Kahani Suno, Ankhiyan Gulab, This Town, and many more. The night ended with some rock music by the Nalayak band, performing with high spirits.

“This was an amazing night. The transition from love to rock music was incredible. I wasn’t sure about the band because I had never heard of them. However, the music, the lights, and the songs fulfilled everyone’s expectations,” said Manan Grover, a BBA student.

Nalayak band's lead vocalist, Sahil Samuel, while performing, explained the reason for the name 'Nalayak'. “I was always interested in music so I left my studies after school. You know how relatives react to such things, 'yeh kaisa naam rakha hai' (what kind of name is this), so for this, I have written a song called 'Meri Kahani.'”

Prom night was all about the love between couples. However, there were so many friend groups who came just to celebrate love on campus. “I came to prom with my friends and we danced with each other to all the songs. I didn’t feel like having a partner when I already had my best friends,” said Pragya Singh, a student.

The night ended well with high spirits and students awaiting the next day to participate in or witness interesting events by clubs. There was not a single dull moment as the band and prom night captured everyone’s attention.
