K-pop event lights up BU campus

On 21st April, first-year TSOM students, Avni Rai, Raghav Srivastava, and Priyanshi Jain organized a K-pop event atBennett University . The trio took on the challenge as part of Professor Tilak's project for the subject "Intro to Mass Communication Theories," with K-pop as their chosen research topic.
The event was a resounding success, drawing participation fromARMYs and Blinks, two of the most dedicated fan communities in the K-pop world. Avni, Raghav, and Priyanshi did their best to manage the event. From organizing performances to handcrafting all the decorations, they did everything on their own.
"Yet to Come " screening by TSOM students
One of the event's highlights was the screening of "Yet to Come," a documentary aboutBTS , the biggest K-pop boy band in Korea . The documentary captured attendees' hearts, showcasing the dedication and hard work that go into creating music and performances.
Another special moment came with the screening of "Light Up the Sky ," a documentary featuring the journey of the iconic K-pop group Blackpink . The documentary was about the behind-the-scenes world of K-pop, mainly Blackpink.
However, the most emotional moment of the event came during the screening of BTS's "Spring Day ." The heartfelt lyrics made everyone emotional present there. As stated by the organizers, almost everyone cried while listening to “Spring Day”. The audience united with each other and shared their past emotional experience.

Avni Rai one of the event organizers, stated, "This was my first event, and it was very exciting as it was BTS's last concert movie. This was emotional to us as we all cried. It was a beautiful experience, amazing, I loved it."
The event concluded with people jamming to K-pop songs together. Everybody there danced together to their favorite songs and made this event memorable.
