Sportikon 4.0, a four-day inter-university sports fest held from February 19 to 22, 2026 concluded on a high note after showcasing thrilling matches, high-energy performances, and fierce competition among participating universities. Teams from Bennett University, Galgotias University, Sharda University, Doon University, Ashoka University, Amity University, Shiv Nadar University, BMRS, and several others took part in the event, celebrating not only victories but also the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience.

The tournament witnessed intense contests, close finishes, and inspiring performances that kept the audience engaged throughout the four days. From exciting football clashes to strategic cricket matches and skillful
indoor games, the event highlighted the competitive yet collaborative spirit of university sports.

Football emerged as one of the most engaging highlights of the fest. On the opening day, Galgotias University dominated Doon University with a resounding 6–0 victory, setting the tone for the tournament. In another
key match, Bennett University defeated Sharda University 3–0, demonstrating strong coordination and defensive play. The alumni also added excitement to the competition as Bennett Alumni edged past Bennett B with a close 2–1 win, proving that experience still plays a vital role on the field.

One of the most anticipated matches saw Shiv Nadar University face Galgotias University, where Galgotias secured a thrilling 2–1 victory through quick counter-attacks and determined gameplay. Reflecting on
the win, Galgotias player Parav Gupta said, “The win is a result of our team unity and fighting spirit till the last whistle.”

Beyond football, the fest featured exciting competitions in basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, and chess. Basketball matches impressed spectators with their coordination and pace, volleyball games
thrilled crowds with powerful smashes, while cricket contests showcased strategic gameplay. Indoor events such as badminton, table tennis, and chess highlighted the precision, focus, and tactical skills of the participants.

The event also stood out for its smooth organisation and enthusiastic crowd support. Students gathered in large numbers to cheer for their teams, filling the sports complex with energy, cheers, and applause. The coordinated efforts of the organisers, volunteers, referees, and management ensured that the matches ran smoothly while maintaining fairness and discipline throughout the tournament.

As Sportikon 4.0 came to a close, it left behind lasting memories of teamwork, perseverance, and inter-university camaraderie. More than just a series of matches, the event fostered confidence, healthy competition, and collaboration among students. With four action-packed days of sporting excellence, Sportikon 4.0 concluded with applause and anticipation for an even bigger edition next year.
